PREVENTION & INTERVENTION EDUCATION

Prevention Education Program:

Age-Appropriate education and prevention courses for high schools and community youth in Shelby, Clay, Coosa and Chilton Counties. Topics include healthy relationships, “red flags,” bystander approaches, communication skills, and consent. All sessions are designed to help prevent dating and sexual violence by encouraging healthy life skills.

Professional Trainings:

Strengthening Advocacy, Enhancing Safety: In-depth trainings designed for students, professionals, and fellow community members focusing on the dynamics of intimate partner violence, risk factors and barriers, perpetrator tactics, and effective safety planning.

How to Help Sessions:

Sessions designed specifically for family and friends of domestic violence survivors. Learn practical ways to effectively respond to abuse, encourage safety, identify “red flags,” and offer support.

Self-Empowerment Workshop Series:

Topics include: addressing fear and shame, self-compassion, healthy relationships, digital safety, self-esteem, building boundaries, dating 101 for parents, guided journaling, and trust.
